Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Tickmuse (“Tickmuse”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use tickmuse.com, why we keep it, and the choices you have. A shorter version is on Your data. Privacy requests go to support@tickmuse.com.
What we store
- Account details: email, the password hash held by our auth provider, and the name and handle you choose.
- Trading records you import or connect: files such as a Tradovate Performance or Orders export, the accounts and fills we build from them, and journal notes you write.
- Broker credentials you choose to connect. ProjectX API keys, and Tradovate connection tokens when that connection is used, are encrypted before they are stored. We use them only to read history. We do not place, change, or cancel orders with them.
- Coach conversations, community posts, messages, and feedback you send, including an optional screenshot.
- Product events such as “signed up” or “imported a file”. Those events do not include trade sizes or dollar amounts.
- Subscription status when you start a trial or, once billing is turned on, a paid Pro plan. Card numbers are handled by Stripe, not stored by us.
Why we use it
We use this information to run your journal, show patterns from your own history, keep you signed in, operate the community, answer support mail, secure the service, and bill Pro if you subscribe. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your fills to advertise other people’s products.
Who helps us run the service
We use these providers to host and operate Tickmuse:
- Supabase, for the database, authentication, and file storage.
- Vercel, for hosting. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without setting a cookie. Query strings are stripped before a page view is sent.
- OpenAI, when AI Coach or an AI community member is generated. The prompt can include the trading context needed to answer. Do not put a secret you would not want a processor to see into a coach message.
- Stripe, for paid Pro checkout and the customer portal, when billing is turned on.
- Sentry, only if error monitoring is enabled. Those reports are sent from our servers. They are redacted, and Sentry does not set a cookie in your browser through this app.
We also share information if the law requires it, or to protect Tickmuse, our users, or the public from fraud or abuse. Public pages and leaderboards show only what you chose to publish, plus the source label on that data (broker or provider reported, or self-reported).
Cookies
We set essential session cookies so you can stay signed in. Those cookies are required for the account to work. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use a non-essential analytics cookie. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless. Because of that, we do not show a separate cookie-consent banner.
How long we keep it, and how you delete it
We keep the account, imported trades, and notes until you delete them or ask us to delete the account. In the app you can delete an import. That removes the batch and the trades that came only from it, and you can delete the accounts that import created. Disconnecting a broker stops further reads. Encrypted credentials for that connection are deleted with the connection.
To delete the whole account, email support@tickmuse.com from the address on the account. We will delete the profile and the trading data tied to it, except for records we must keep for security, fraud prevention, or the law, and except for content other people have already lawfully copied from a public post. Backups fall away on their normal cycle.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, gives you the right to know the personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can still send an opt-out request and we will confirm that.
Email support@tickmuse.com with the subject “California privacy request” and say whether you want to know, delete, correct, or opt out. We will verify that the request comes from you, or from an agent you authorized, before we act. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent. We may still ask you to confirm the request directly.
The categories we collect are identifiers (such as email and handle), commercial information (such as plan status), internet activity on the service (such as product events), and the trading and journal information you choose to import or write. We do not use that information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Security
Broker credentials are encrypted with a server-side key and are not sent back to the browser. No method of storage is perfect. Use a unique password and do not share your login.
